Serendipity

As every Irish person knows, if you travel to a remote part of the globe you are almost guaranteed to meet someone from your home town who probably knows a good friend of yours. The more remote the location, the higher the likelihood. On a recent trip, I picked up the latest copy of Wired - continuing my habit of treating myself to a couple of techie mags each trip. When reading Clive Thompson's article The See-Through CEO on the value of blogging, I noticed a comment included from Darren Barefoot - an ex-colleague and Cape Clear's first blogger. Is this the Web 2.0 equivalent?

Yeah, I was pretty chuffed about that mention in 'Wired'--I've been a reader since year one.

The coincidences pile up, as I was in Ireland when you wrote that post. I've since moved to Malta for six months or so, but I'm in the neighbourhood.
